Christy began her training at age 5 in a homeschool ballet class in Oklahoma City. From there she went on to study jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop, and various other styles. She received most of her training at Victory Dance in Warr Acres, Oklahoma where she also danced competitively for eight years. Starting her senior year in high school, Christy spent three years as a member of the Oklahoma City Barons Ice Girls.
Christy graduated Summa Cum Laude in December of 2016 from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in dance performance and a minor in business administration. She received numerous dance and academic related scholarships and choreographed and performed in several productions.
Christy has a passion for teaching and helping her students succeed and reach their goals. She is currently teaching children and adult classes at Studio 7 in Oklahoma City.
Christy is thrilled to be a member of the RACE Dance Company family and believes in their mission to provide dancers with professional opportunities in the Oklahoma City area and to use their art to make a difference in the community. When Christy is not dancing, she enjoys spending time with her high school sweetheart husband, baking, running her Etsy shop, and watching hockey.
