Hip Hop

Michelle Rambo is adjunct faculty at East Central University. She has been teaching dance for eight years in hip hop, contemporary, jazz and tap. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Dance Performance fall of 2014 from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has performed in the National Dance Association’s Gala Performance in both Baltimore, Maryland and Wichita, Kansas. Has also performed for Habitat for Humanity, Black and Gold of Ardmore, OK, in the Oklahoma Centennial Parade and Neimans Children Christmas Parade. She was also a member of the Ardmore Contemporary Dance Company for two years. Recently she has been apart of the Debbie Dance Intensive as a hip hop instructor for the past two years. Michelle has received choreography awards in hip hop for her Routines “Elevator” in 2009 and “She Ain’t Got” in 2010. “She Ain’t Got” also received the Dance Spirit Magazine’s Video of the Month Viewer’s Choice Award in August 2010. And in January 2011, her high school hip hop class’s routine “Do You Remember” received the Dance Teacher Magazine’s Video of the Month Editor’s Choice Award. She is a choreographer for the very well known Race Dance Company located in Oklahoma City. She has choreographed national hip hop pom routines for McLennan Community College and University of Oklahoma. Recently Michelle choreographed a Shannon Crites School of Dance post game performance for the professional NBA Oklahoma City Thunder.
