Guest Teacher: Kim Loveridge has been an Adjunct Professor for UCO since the fall of 2011. She is a passionate dance educator and choreographer. Kim teaches technique courses in modern, jazz, ballet and hip-hop for majors and non-majors. She also choreographs for the Kaleidoscope Dance Company debuting her first piece as a guest artist in 2009. Kim received her MFA from the University of California, Irvine in 2011 and her BFA from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2006. She received her Pilates Mat certification from Studio du Corps in Costa Mesa, CA. Prior to UCO, Kim was the Director of Dance at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School and was an adjunct professor for St. Gregory's University in Shawnee. Kim has worked with artists such as Loretta Livingston, Sheron Wray, Bill Evans, Malaya and Adam Parson. She has taught master classes for OK-LA Dance Connection, which has taken her to Texas, Arizona, Ohio and all over Oklahoma. Her choreography credits include Six Flags New England, Transversal Theatre, Perpetual Motion and Race Dance Company, of which she was a founding member. Kim is honored to return to her alma mater to teach and help students pursue their passion for dance.
